Assessments
Students are required to participate in a number of assessments throughout the year. In addition to the curriculum embedded assessments administered by each teacher, the following state and federal benchmark assessments are required:
- California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP)
- All 3rd through 8th grade students take the CAASPP in the spring. This assessment contains four parts:
- English Language Arts
- Mathematics
- ELA Performance Task
- Math Performance Task
- 5th and 8th graders will also take the California Science Test (CAST)
- All 3rd through 8th grade students take the CAASPP in the spring. This assessment contains four parts:
- English Language Proficiency Assessments (ELPAC)
- Students who are classified as English learners will take the ELPAC Summative Assessment every year until they are reclassified as proficient in English. Students are tested on their skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing
- Physical Fitness Test

- All 5th and 7th graders will take the Physical Fitness Test in the spring
